It’s too Humid So We Needed a Dehumidifier:

While the sun was still shining and the temperature around 80 degrees, the humidity was all-consuming.

My family and I planned a trip to the beach for a spring vacation getaway together. We always like to go somewhere as a family at least once a year, because it can be difficult to get everyone under the same roof. My sister was in charge of planning this year’s trip, and she picked a beach down south. I love the beach, so I’d been dreaming about this vacation with my family for months. For me, one of the best parts about vacation is preparing for the trip. I go shopping, get my hair and nails done, and prepare my airport necessities. This year however, I couldn’t have packed any worse than I did. I’d been eyeing the weather forecast for weeks before I packed, and thought I did a great job. However, I quickly found out I was wrong when I stepped off the plane. While the sun was still shining and the temperature around 80 degrees, the humidity was all-consuming. It hit me like a ton of bricks the moment I walked outside. The temperature read 80 degrees, but the humidity was 70%, making it feel like 95 degrees! I packed outfits for the hot temperatures, but not the humidity that came along with it. When we arrived at our rental home for the week, the property owner left a note on the kitchen counter saying there were two dehumidifiers set up in the house to help alleviate the moisture and keep the HVAC system running efficiently. I couldn’t believe how much of a difference a few portable dehumidifiers made during our stay!
