My wife called me the other afternoon to ask if I had anyone who could service our outdoor furnace.
We’d just bought this house and she didn’t know what kind of servicing our new outdoor furnace needed.
I told her to phone her brother because he’d know about all these things. Her brother had recently completed his certification and license for Heating plus A/C repair and installation. My wife seemed totally frustrated, so I offered to call her brother for her. When I chatted with him, he told me that he wanted us to not scrub the outdoor furnace. He didn’t think the gas furnace was going to work properly for us. There was an aged furnace in the house that would work much more efficiently and be a lot less work. The outdoor gas furnace would use wood for fuel. Not only did we have to get the wood, however it had to be cut up and able to fit the furnace. Twice an afternoon, we’d have to go outside, regardless of the temperature and fill the hopper with wood. I knew my wife had done it for the Last year during winter, but I didn’t think she’d be glad with this along with getting our children off to university, the snow plus going to work. Her brother told me he would call her about our furnace plus try to convince her about getting a new furnace, or trading in both gas furnaces for a total electric installation. He thought that an electric furnace would be best for our house. I’m eager to see what my wife is going to do when she hears his suggestion.
