My A/C warranty expired but it was entirely our own fault. When we obtained our brand new high efficiency HVAC plan last year, the girl at the HVAC store told me that we would have to make sure to keep up with the maintenance plan, then she mentioned that the warranty would be voided if we didn’t. I totally remember him saying that to us as we were paying and signing all of the paperwork, but then once we got apartment and started enjoying our nice new heating and cooling system, those warnings all went completely out of our head. I haven’t thought a single time about getting our heating or A/C plan looked at because it’s been working entirely perfectly ever since we got it! Well, at least it had been working perfectly up until the past few days. We’ve been experiencing quite a bit of a heat wave here in our section of the country over the past couple of weeks and so I’ve been using the A/C much more than normal. Sure enough, I had the temperature set at 72 degrees, just prefer always, but the actual temperature in the apartment was 72 degrees. I thought that I would just call the HVAC supplier since the A/C was under warranty but when I did, I realized that we had totally voided our warranty by not performing any proper maintenance on the A/C for the entire previous year. And I have no 1 to be mad at but myself.
