I’ve saved them before

I would about once every year or several I find someone on the mountain who doesn’t know how to start a fire as well as can’t use the fireplace to even heat up the cottage

Just because I am a hermit as well as live alone in the woods on the side of a mountain doesn’t mean I do not care for people. I don’t like people in my home, this is true, however in general I like people, it’s just that I can easily live separate from dealing with them. That said, if I know someone needs help, or is in danger, I will do whatever I can to help them. Because of this, as well as our remote mountain location, I easily have saved the lives of more than a few lost hikers as well as campers over the past 20 years. No one has the right heating when they come up here, because no one ever believes just how dangerously cold it can get. There are a handful of other cottages in this same little area, as well as they all have a fireplace however no electricity or heating in them at all. Usually the local deputy will let myself and others know if there are normal people staying around here, so I can check on them as well as make sure they have some sort of heating if the weather gets too bad. I would about once every year or several I find someone on the mountain who doesn’t know how to start a fire as well as can’t use the fireplace to even heat up the cottage. I am regularly patient, showing them how to start one so that they can provide their own heating after I leave. I know for a fact this has easily saved a life or several, as well as I even get cards from some of those people to this afternoon, however you should never be so reliant on modern heating systems that you can’t even start your own fire
