When Tom and I met, I wasn’t looking for anyone to date. It was my friends who practically pushed me out my door to attend a party. Heartbreak can affect you in so many ways, and I think I got depressed. However, I am thankful to have two great friends. They came to my home one Friday evening, got me into the shower, and out the door. We went for dinner at my favorite pizza place, then it was time for the party. I sort of tried to sit at the corner, and that’s where Tome found me. We hit it off after he complimented me, and I was amazed at how easy it was to talk to him. I think my soul has been lonely and aching to connect with another person. So, we talked the entire time, and exchanged numbers. Four months later we were dating, and I no longer felt the cloud of depression hanging over me. Tom is a HVAC technician by profession. He set up a heating and AC business in town about 6 years ago, and it’s doing so well. He loves talking about heating and AC units just as much as I love speaking about hair and beauty. But, he always comes over to change my air filters and won’t accept any payment for that. I truly love Tom and I am so happy he is so passionate about his job as a HVAC technician.
